It's June 4th, 2019, and, as every year, SW Hackett Lodge, again honored the Sequoia Elementary School's Teacher of the Year.  This year we had our second honoree that is a two-time Teacher of the Year.  Tonight we again honored Mr. Gregory Roy as Sequoia's Teacher of the Year.  We congratulate Mr. Roy who was also chosen in 2009, and who continues to do what he loves by teaching.  It is evident from how he stays in contact with his past students that he has really made his mark and is loved and respected by his students.  Mark Twain once said: "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why".  With this love and respect, it appears that Mr. Roy has found out why.

Wor. Jim Achenbach, PM, and head of the Partnership in Education committee for SW Hackett,
Welcomes all and introduces Principal Ryan Kissel.

Principal Kissel, again thanks SW Hackett Lodge and Worshipful Achenbach for all its work with the
Partnership in Education program with Sequoia Elementary School.  He presented a short bio of Mr. Roy,
then introduced him as
Sequoia Elementary School's Teacher of the Year for 2019.

Mr. Roy also offered his thanks and appreciation to S.W. Hackett Lodge for this honor.
He spoke of his love for teaching and for his students.
