On June 5, 2018, SW Hackett Lodge, again honored the Sequoia Elementary School Teachers of the Year.  That's right, this year there was a tie and so SW Hackett had the fun of honoring two Teachers of the Year.  We congratulate Ms. Claudia Wells and Ms. Jillana Lashmet who were selected as the 2018 Teachers of the Year.  SW Hackett Lodge is again very proud to assist in honoring these great teachers for their strong commitment to the San Diego education system and Sequoia Elementary school.

Wor. Jim Achenbach, PM, and head of the Partnership in Education committee for SW Hackett, introduces Principal Ryan Kissel.

Principal Kissel again thanked Wor. Achenbach and SW Hackett Lodge for all its work with the Partnership in Education
program and especially with Sequoia Elementary School.  He then introduced Ms. Jillana Lashmet, and presented a short bio of her
continual work and pride in Sequioa Elementary.

Jillana thanked Principal Kissel, Wor. Achenbach and S.W. Hackett Lodge for this honor.
It was obvious to all that Ms. Lashmet was committed to her teaching and her students.

Then after a nice introduction by Principal Kissel and a reading of her bio, it was time for Ms. Claudia Wells
to speak.  She too thanked all involved with this honor and spoke of her love for teaching.  Her
dedication to her teaching and Sequoia Elementary school showed.

And now, time for the presentations of the certificates and monetary award.

It was so easy to tell that both Claudia and Jillana were very proud and grateful.
