Army Regiment Tracing Board from the Grand Lodge of Ireland

Tracing Board from Union Lodge of Boston dated 1796

The Hiram Award is presented to a worthy Brother to commemorate his contribution to his lodge, his Brothers and his community. These Hiram Award recipients have demonstrated a moral clarity, consistency of purpose, and devotion to Freemasonry that warrants their recognition and has perpetuated the legacy of Samuel Warren Hackett.

2022 HIRAM AWARD RECIPIENT
Worshipful Norman Chris Parker

Worshipful Parker was chosen unanimously by the committee because from the time he affiliated with S.W. Hackett lodge he worked tirelessly to help the lodge and the Brothers.  He worked through the Junior Warden and Senior Warden chairs and became the Master in 2020.  He remained as Master for 2021 due to the virus.  Chris has shown real dedication and continual commitment to the Lodge.  We congratulate Worshipful Chris on being selected for the Hiram Award in 2022

Creating the Experience

On October 11th of 1923, a small group of friends in the dusty little city of San Diego determined to become Brothers. In founding S.W. Hackett lodge they expressed a shared belief in the tenets of America's founding brothers, a determination to make a difference in the community, a commitment to their families, and a desire to study and understand the philosophy and ethical teachings of an institution whose foundation lies buried deeper than the study of recorded history has excavated.
The last nine plus decades have borne witness to an unbroken chain of Masonic and community service. Today's Brothers of S. W. Hackett's little lodge continue to advance the tenants of our founders with an eye towards the needs of today's Mason.
