Wor. Dimiter K. Lyakov, PM, Secretary, was selected to be honored as the recipient of the Hiram Award for 2014.  Recognizing his dedication to Samuel Warren Hackett Lodge and the craft, the Hiram Award committee knows that Brother Lyakov is deserving of this prestigious honor. To be chosen the Hiram Award recipient is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a Mason, aside from being elected to, and serving as, the Master of his Lodge.

Brother Lyakov was raised a Master Mason in 1995.  He was very active in his mother Lodge and was affiliated with Black Mountain Lodge, No. 845 from 1996 to 2006 .   He served S.W. Hackett Lodge as its Junior Warden in 1998, its Senior Warden in 1999 and he was Master of SW Hackett Lodge in 2000.  Although he continued to be involved, after his year as  Master, work and life in general slowed Worshipful Dimiter's activities in the Lodge.  Then when approached in April of 2011 and asked if he would assume the office of Secretary of the Lodge, he graciously accepted and has been the Secretary of the Lodge since July of 2011.

So, on this night, March 25th, 2014, the celebration took place.
